A Brazilian Monday Night

Monday night at the Singers........fabulous food in the Brazilian "tradition." There are tons of Brazilian cuisines, luckily we were guided by the palate of Michael who built the meal around Northeastern Brazil cuisine. Here's what I found out about it - The region is a narrow coastal plain with abundant rainfall. Tropical products like sugarcane and cacao are grown in abundant in this fertile coastal plain. The Brazilian food recipe in this region is Afro-Bahrain that evolved from plantation improvising on Indian, traditional Portuguese and African dishes comprising of locally available ingredients.
So here's Michael's Bahrain Chicken, Black Beans, Rice.

Fabulous Mitch Hearts of Palm Salad.

Linda's mom Doris died this past week. She had been in failing health. We had a special toast for Doris.
